Wild 04:51
I'm burning down Breaking bones Cooling down Drying out I'm a field run fallow Under February snow I can't find a hand to hold Couldn't keep me from the cold My heroes aren't heroes My demons dealing doubles through the night Remember you were made wild Rows and ridges fence the mind Grow your hair out in the rain Dig your roots down deeper in the dirt and find You are right on time I planted seeds Let them go Walked away Let them grow You and me We are trees Crossing roots and standing tall Wrapping branches round the fall Our heroes aren’t heroes Writers of words, what's that worth? Remember you were made wild Roll in ribbon grass and rhymes Take your clothes off in the day Let the sunlight soak your face You'll be alright Children of the wild Now the drought is over Let it rain, let it cry Til springtime shines Remember you were made wild Rows and ridges fence the mind Grow your hair out in the rain Dig your roots down deeper in the dirt and find You are right on time

The Lonesome 03:09
Cruising across Texas Maron on my phone Car cut cross the highway Hit me head on I couldn't move Rain pouring through my window I’ve never felt so alone holding my phone Staring at the ceiling while the ambulance rolls on Who's gonna come for me broken like this I’m the lonesome I’m the lonesome I posted her picture People sent their love He called me crying We’ve all had enough I told him I’m sorry to be adding to the bad news Of election week I’ve never felt so alone Hospital gown Staring at the ceiling wondering who can I call on Who’s gonna come for me broken like this I’m the lonesome I’m the lonesome The dawn came to greet me Helped me clean out my car The hawk held us safe through the hill country storm Now I’m staring at my ceiling Second chance starts now And all I know is that its raining and there’s roses Oh, beautiful day I'll put the lonesome away

My favorite place to play is alone in my room The silence listens deeper than you The stillness beats its own breathe The cool of the calm radiates on the wind I tried to sing strong in the cafes and bars I tried to sing loud over the crowd But they just wanna drink and laugh while I sing They ain't got the time for a song Its listening room only so settle down Sit on the floor Watch the words spin around This is a place to get found I drive long miles, sleep on the couch To sing for the crowd that counts You don't have to be many Don't have to be rich If you’re listening open, yer scratching my itch For listening room only please settle down Sit on the floor  Watch the words spinning round This is where I got found I drove 3000 miles  To sing for the traveling crowd In another tour trap town Dropping dollars in tip jars to ease the pain Of putting my heart out and not being seen Its listening room only whenever i play I can't sing the covers I can't dance the jig So take me or leave me And please leave a tip My heart’s all I got and you can have it

Telephone rings to the dawning breeze I'm unwinding time in the violet freeze Feathers in hair and the crow of coffee I guessing I gotta get up today New day French presses one cup only Hinge creeking mouth, listen david bowie A Friday confession for Saturday sins While I’m swallowing cereal shallow skins And there’s something about being alone Yeah there's something about being alone Siren sings past the school kid line 32 in 20, $300 fine I'm learning to not try to bend the time I’ll be giving my paycheck before its signed And there’s something about being alone Yeah there's something about being alone Is every moment a turning or choosing Are we talking through time zones Do we have to lose it Can we lay down by each other and make an equal sign Are we all a little worse for the lines And there’s something about being alone Yeah there’s something about being alone Traffic light blinks to the mid-day rush 30 minutes is just long enough to get stuck I’m learning to not leave my cards all face up In the rearview I’m fixing my eyes makeup And there’s something about being alone Yeah there's something about being alone

Ireland 02:57
I wanna go to Ireland I see myself on that shore Its where I coulda been born but we got hungry I'm running most of the time I got a vision board mind Trying hard to climb climb climb Afraid of the heights The road rolls and rolls Don't know where it goes I'm going just to go I wanna drive northeast Feel the colors falling down around me And chase the changing leaves from sea to sea I wanna travel on a train See Holland, Germany, Spain And get a fresh tattoo of a flower about to bloom I'm a snake shedding skin Don't know how to win I just get to begin and begin and begin The road rolls and rolls, don't know where it goes I'm going just to go I want a taste of everything I want everything Don't wanna walk alone no more along this river shore I wanna write a thousand songs Sing 'em on a big stage Feel a flash of fame on my face fade away Amazing grace And I wanna have a big love A home and garden that i've dreamed of A do okay on my own, but I could do better by you You don't have to know what you wanna grow Baby let it grow, let it grow, let it grow The road rolls and rolls, don't know where it goes I'm going just to go And I wanna go to Ireland I see myself on that shore Its where I coulda been born but we got hungry

Better Days 02:40
I ain't seen better days than this I go where i want and i do what i wish I could get use to this But I gotta go so I can see what I miss Driving away, sunny Sunday You get what you wanted they say I aint had a better kiss True to the tongue and the pull on my hips I could get use to this Watch the seasons sift through the sails on our ship But I'm driving away from you today Gotta go before i can stay Guess thats my way You built me up Then you brought me down Sweet summer lover Our hearts beat the same color I aint heard a sweeter song than yours Whistle the way you learned from the birds Sing it for another girl Got that gold in your teeth Catch and release Driving away from the same pain My way is the highway and i aint seen better days

about

This is a collection of songs written around a bad car accident. Funded by fans on Patreon, we spent 1 day recording at Good Danny's studio (working on Wild.) At the end of the day, I laid down 5 songs solo- back to back, one take, quick n dirty- and the Analog Sessions were born.
